Bespoke structural glass is made for its position within your extension. Before production begins, we confirm the dimensions, glass specification and approved drawings so the manufacturer has a clear instruction.

Checking the information before ordering

We verify the relevant measurements against our survey and any completed building works. Openings, levels and supports are checked alongside the allowances needed for installation.

Before we order the glass, we confirm your approval of the design and obtain the necessary technical sign-offs. We also check coatings, glass composition and any required processing against the specification.

The sequence depends on the project. Some sizes can be confirmed from agreed structural information; others need checking after the relevant works are complete. We establish that sequence in advance.

Choosing reliable manufacturing partners

Delivery times are a common concern with bespoke glass. Glasspace works with manufacturers we trust to provide consistent quality and realistic lead times for structural glass units.

We confirm requirements early and maintain communication through production. Complete, coordinated order information helps reduce avoidable queries and delays.

Manufacturing dates can still change. If a development affects the anticipated installation date, we keep you informed and explain the effect on the programme.

Planning the arrival of your glass

Delivery needs to match site readiness and the arrangements for handling, storage and lifting. We coordinate these details so the installation team can receive the glass safely and efficiently.

By this point, the key design decisions are resolved. Changes after production has begun can have significant consequences for cost and timing, which we discuss before any revised instruction is issued.
