Your input is central to designing your glass extension. With the initial quotation agreed and the measured survey available, we can explore how the room will look and how it will work for you.
We also use the planning position established at our first meeting to guide the proposals, whether permission has already been granted or an application is being prepared.
Planning for everyday use
Together, we review the room's proportions, roof arrangement and glass panel layout. Furniture positions and routes through the room help us decide where the doors should sit and how the space will connect with the garden.
Views and privacy matter, as do sunlight, ventilation and shading. Discussing these details now helps us make choices that reflect your routines and priorities.
Integrating the sliding doors
Our sliding doors were developed specifically for our glass extensions. Their minimal 17mm sightline and integration into the structure during site assembly avoid the need for a separate above-ground supporting subframe.
We explain the proposed door arrangement and show how tracks, connections and any visible supports fit within the design. This gives you a clearer picture of what the finished room will look like.
Reviewing drawings with you
Using the FARO survey, we develop drawings around your property's measured dimensions. We share the proposals, invite your feedback and refine the details together.
Approved drawings and relevant planning conditions guide this work. Where permission is being sought, the design helps inform the application. If a requested change could affect the cost or planning position, we discuss it with you and the architect before taking it forward.
Bring your layout ideas and questions to Glasspace so we can explore them as part of your design. Discuss your project ↗
